Opportunity to see Greece and Egypt and know many of the Greek Islands and Turkey in a combination of fun and information for 3 different civilizations in the east Mediterranean cruising the Aegean and the Nile.
FRIDAY: ATHENS: Upon your arrival in Athens you will be met and transferred to your selected hotel in Athens. Balance of the day at leisure.
SATURDAY: ATHENS: Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including all famous monuments: House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Adrian’s Arch, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Royal Palace, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum, "State of the art" in museum construction and very rich in content.
Afternoon free to visit Plaka (The old Athens city) with lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and taverns.
SUNDAY: ATHENS(GR)-CAIRO(EGYPT): Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Arrival meeting, assistance & transfer to your hotel in Cairo. Balance of the day at leisure.
MONDAY: CAIRO(ET): Full day Cairo sightseeing, including the Citabel of Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Egyptian Museum of Cairo and also the Bazaar, with free time for shopping. In the afternoon, continue of the tour visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.
TUESDAY: CAIRO(ET)-ASWAN(ET): Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Arrival and transfer to the port to embark the cruise ship. After lunch on board, by feluca we will see the Elephantine island and the Mausoleum of Aga Khan.
WEDNESDAY: ASWAN-KOM OMBO-EDFU(ET): Visit of the Dam of Aswan, the ancient granite quarries and the Temple of Philae with the unique Greek-Roman architecture. Departure for Kom Ombo to visit its Temple, which was shared by the two Gods Sobek & Hareoris. Continue sailing to Edfu.
THURSDAY: EDFU-ESNA-LUXOR(ET): After breakfast, departure to the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt's most well preserved temples. Sail through Esna for an afternoon of leisure in the city of Luxor.
FRIDAY: LUXOR(ET): In the morning departure for a full day tour to visit the Tombs of Ramses II and Seti I in the valley of the Kings. Admire the incredible Colossi of Memnon and the amazingly well preserved Temple of the Queen Hatseput at Deir el Bahari.
SATURDAY: LUXOR-CAIRO: After breakfast disembarkation to visit the Temples of Luxor and Karnak on Luxor's east bank. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for the flight back to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to your selected hotel in Cairo.
SUNDAY: CAIRO(ET)-ATHENS(GR): At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Athens. Arrival and transfer to your selected hotel in Athens. Balance of the day at leisure.
MONDAY: ATHENS(GR)-MYKONOS(GR): Morning transfer to Piraeus port to embark the 4 day cruise. Our cruise ship will leave the port of Piraeus at 11:00 for a 4 full days of fun and experiences. We go along the Athens Riviera in the Saronic Golf to the south end of Attica passing close to the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion. This afternoon is a good opportunity to get around and know your ship and the services we provide.
In the afternoon we arrive in Mykonos, the island of the international "jet set", famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and incredible night life. Take a taste of the island and check if you maybe like to return in the future to spend more time. In the evening return to the ship for overnight travel to our next destination.
TUESDAY: KUSADASI(TUR)-PATMOS(GR): First port of call is the port of Kusadasi with the option to visit Ephessus, one of the most complete ancient cities ever excavated. Next on the island of Patmos, you can visit the Monastery and the grotto of St. John, where he lived and recorded the book of the Revelation.
WEDNESDAY: RHODES(GR): Today we visit the magnificent island of the roses, Knights and Butterflies. Participating in one of the optional tours, you can visit the old medieval city and the famous Acropolis of Lindos. If you want to be on your own you can swim in one of the many beaches of the island or just stroll in the old city and imagine being one of its inhabitants of the ancient times, Late evening return in the ship. THURSDAY: HERAKLION(GR)-SANTORINI(GR): New port, new places, new interesting sites in Crete. We will wake up in Heraklion, the biggest city of Crete, the island full of archaeological sites, beautiful beaches and fantastic scenery. Take the opportunity to participate in the optional tour to the Palace of Knossos, the centre of the Minoan Civilization.
